Rick Ross Retaliates After 50 Cent Diss: ‘Put The Wigs On For Us’

The Rick Ross/50 Cent controversy rages on. This time Rick Ross, the heavyweight rapper who just released his new solo album Mastermind, weighed in on his opinion of 50 Cent when he appeared Thursday morning on The Breakfast Club radio show featured on Power 105.1 in New York City.

When asked about the 50 Cent controversy Ross retaliated on air by asking, “Was he in his Pimpin’ Curly mode? If he wasn’t in Pimpin’ Curly, I ain’t really moved.” What exactly was Ross referring to with his remarks? MTV.com helps shed light on that particular reference:

“The Pimpin’ Curly reference dates back to 2009, when the 50 [Cent] and Ross beef first started to pick up,” the site writes. “In addition to the songs that he released that dissed Ross, 50 [Cent] donned a wig and transformed into Pimpin’ Curly in a series of viral sketch comedy videos meant to poke fun at Ross.”

Ross continued to take small shots at 50 Cent when the hosts asked if Rick had seen the Instagram posts:

“Nah, we ain’t got time for that,” he said. “We winning, check the scoreboard. We running the numbers high,” referring to his new album Mastermind that was released Monday, March 3rd. Ross then continued to echo his earlier statement aimed at 50 Cent and his Pimpin Curly days:

“Put the wigs on for us. That’s when we enjoyed it. That’s when we laughed.”

Ross didn’t pause before following up that statement with yet another shot at 50 Cent’s current record sales versus his own new album Mastermind:

“Other than that, we going to keep getting this money. You know what we represent. Y’all seeing we winning in a big way. We got the biggest album of the year just dropping, my sixth solo album Mastermind.”

The controversy started on Sunday, as previously reported right here on Inquisitr, when 50 Cent posted an insinuating collage of photos on his Instagram account. The collage, created split screen style showed two images.

The first photo was a suggestive pic of Rick Ross and Diddy locked in a tight, full embrace, appearing as if they were about to kiss. The second half of the image featured music executive – and 50 Cent enemy – Steve Stoute wrapping his arms tightly around Diddy in a warm embrace. 50 Cent then captioned the Instagram: “I ain’t saying nothing, but something ain’t right. Lmao,” clearly implying that the three men were gay. He quickly pulled the photo from his account, but not before word got around to Rick Ross and Diddy himself.
