Aishwarya Rai, Bollywood Star, Expecting First Child

If you’re not a Bollywood fan, you may not know her name, but you probably know her face.

37-year-old Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai is pregnant with her first child, her father-in-law announced on Twitter. He shouted:

T 410 -NEWS NEWS NEWS !! I AM GOING TO BECOME A GRANDFATHER .. AISHWARYA EXPECTING .. SO HAPPY AND THRILLED !!!

The actress, who was voted the most beautiful woman in the world in 1994, has frequently been the subject of pregnancy rumors in the past:

Aishwarya’s visit at Cannes 2011 last month had sparked fresh pregnancy rumors as she had looked curvier than her usual self and had walked the red carpet in dresses with a belly covering flap… More recently, pregnancy rumors surfaced during her appearance at the Prix de Diane Longines at Hippodrome de Chantilly in France on June 12, where her two piece dress had a loose top and she was seen frequently covering her stomach with her hand.

Amitabh Bachchan, father of Rai’s husband Abhishek Bachchan, did not spill on when the sprog is due.
