Texans Cheerleader Says Yes To Prom Date After 10K Retweet Promise

As we all know, taking a date to the prom is kind of a big deal for high school seniors, who often go to great lengths to ensure they get the right date for the big event.

Crosby High senior Michael Ramirez, a 5-foot-11, 255-pound offensive linesman, knew who he wanted to take to the prom, and decided to use Twitter as his medium to get her.

Having set his sights on the stunning 20-year-old Texans cheerleader, Caitlyn Beth, he contacted her and asked if 10,000 re-tweets of their chat would make sure he got to take her to the prom.

It seems that Ramirez’s cunning plan worked, as the Texans cheerleader said “yes”. Just 24 hours after he Tweeted his message exchange with Beth, along with the caption: “10,000 retweets and I’ll be taking a Texans cheerleader to prom,” he got the 10,000 retweets he so badly needed.

According to reports, the whole thing started on Thursday morning when Ramirez tweeted: “Got the asking prom idea, now I just need the right girl.” After that Texans cheerleader Lesha Wincher began following him on Twitter. Soon after that Caitlyn Beth began following him and the chat between them ensued.

The Lake Houston Observer reported on a chat Ramirez had with a friend about his idea: “I was talking to my friend Colton about prom and I just said, ‘Man, what if I asked a Texans cheerleader to prom,’ so I did. So I sent her a message and she replied like instantly and said she’d do it.”

Michael Ramirez gets full props from the Inquisitr team for originality and courage. The way in which he managed to secure a date to the prom with the Texans cheerleader is an inspiration to us all, and just goes to highlight, once again, the power of social media.
