‘Breaking Bad’ Star Aaron Paul Says Fans Are Obsessed With Jesse’s Catchphrase

Breaking Bad fans often ask Aaron Paul to repeat Jesse Pinkman’s famous catchphrase when they encounter the actor on the street.

Since the meth-dealing character frequently used the word “b****” throughout AMC’s hit series, Paul said fans are quick to address him using the expletive. Others are apparently more interested in having the Breaking Bad alum toss the term in their general direction.

According to the International Business Times, Aaron Paul recently stopped by The Graham Norton Show to promote his upcoming action flick Need for Speed. When when he revealed how much Breaking Bad fans love Jesse Pinkman.

“I get called ‘b****’ every day and people ask me to call them it. The other day a grandmother who had to be pushing 90 asked me and I did. It felt so wrong and yet so right,” the actor told Norton during his appearance on the program.

The Breaking Bad star is busy drumming up business for Need for Speed, an adaptation of the popular video game franchise. While Paul doesn’t have a problem with people’s endless love for Jesse Pinkman, he hopes that folks will separate that character from the guy he plays in the upcoming motion picture

He recently told Zap2It:

“They’re such polar opposite people. I think that the moment Tobey Marshall comes on-screen, they’re not going to see — or hopefully they’re not going to see — Jesse Pinkman. Jesse was I think struggling to find his way throughout the entire show. He never really had his footing ever, and he never, ever caught a break. Tobey is a very strong man.”

However, don’t let his desire to step away from Pinkman make you think Aaron isn’t proud of his work on Breaking Bad. In fact, The Inquisitr previously reported that the actor wouldn’t mind reprising his role in the upcoming spin-off Better Call Saul.

“Anything Vince (Gilligan) is involved with, I’m there. I owe him my entire career. And the idea of jumping into the skin of Jesse Pinkman again in his lighter days — because it’s all a prequel — it would be fun,” he said.

While Paul definitely wouldn’t mind returning to the Breaking Bad universe for another go-around, it’s unclear if Jesse will make an appearance in the spin-off. AMC is keeping details about the series under lock and key as of this writing.

Are you surprised that Breaking Bad fans want Aaron Paul to call them “b****”? Would you ask the actor the swear at you?
