Watch United States Vs. Ukraine Soccer Live Online, International Friendly Match

Fans can watch the United States vs. Ukraine soccer match live online as the teams square off for a friendly match that it once seemed would not happen.

The match seemed to be canceled on Monday as Ukraine faces both internal turmoil and the possibility of military conflict with Russia. But on Tuesday officials confirmed that the match is set to go ahead as scheduled, but will be moved to Cyprus.

“(We) reached a consensus to play the USA after all,” Ukraine football association president Anatoliy Konkov said in a statement on Tuesday. “(They) stood behind us to protect the national interests and territorial integrity of Ukraine.”

Just the day before, the United States Soccer Federation released a statement saying the match was being moved.

“After discussions with the Ukrainian Football Federation, we have decided not to play in Ukraine on March 5 and are planning to move the match to a city in Cyprus. We are in the final stages of discussions with Ukraine and the Cyprus Football Association to determine the location and kickoff time. We hope to have confirmation on all the match details by Wednesday.”

The match, which will be played at 18:30 GMT on Wednesday, will be an important warm-up for the United States as they prepare for the 2014 World Cup in Rio.

“This game is a huge opportunity, mainly for our European-based players, for those guys to prove to us that they are eager and hungry to jump on the train to the FIFA World Cup,” said United States coach Jurgen Klinsmann.
