Anna Kendrick Reveals Pre-Oscar Routine: Eggo Waffles And ‘Law & Order’
Anna Kendrick doesn’t need a lot of prep work for the Academy Awards.
The Pitch Perfect star showed up to Sunday’s Oscars wearing a black J Mendel dress with sheer panels, one that earned her high fashion marks, but before the show Anna revealed that she’s not too serious when it comes to red carpet fashion.
The 28-year-old actress, who also presented at the 2014 Academy Awards, said that her pre-event routine is far from stressful, and involves “mostly Eggos and Law & Order SVU”
It was actually quite a busy weekend for Anna Kendrick. The day before the Academy Awards, she was in attendance for the 2014 Film Independent Spirit Awards, which were held at the beach in Santa Monica.
But when it came time for Oscar night — the Super Bowl of Hollywood award shows — Anna felt a bit left out in her fashion choice. While stars like Naomi Watts and Kate Hudson opted for lighter colored gowns, Kendrick went for black.
“Weird that no one gave me the memo about wearing a white sparkly dress… Can I not sit at the cool kids table? #Oscars (sic),” Anna tweeteto her 2.14 million followers.

But behind the humor, Anna Kendrick is getting serious when it comes to fashion. She has taken an interest in fashion, and was spotted at several events at last month’s New York Fashion Week.
“It’s so full on. It’s not really what I expected,” Kendrick said about her experience at NYFW. “I went to a couple of shows at London Fashion Week, and it definitely wasn’t any more civilized, but it was just a little smaller, so it was easier to handle. This is all very intense, but I am having so much fun. Obviously the shows just blow my mind.”
