Justin Timberlake’s Tour Heading To Australia

Justin Timberlake is currently touring in support of his double disc comeback album The 20/20 Experience. The tour started back in November at Barclays Stadium in Brooklyn, New York. Since then he’s been steadily touring all over North America, and soon he will head overseas for a slew of dates. We had initially thought that Timberlake would end his tour sometime in August but now it’s been announced that he will be going to Australia in the fall.

The “SexyBack” singer is set to take the country’s five biggest cities starting on September 18 at Melbourne at Etihad Stadium, and will also perform shows in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth. Of course his schedule is pretty spaced out so it leaves room for Timberlake to add in last minute dates if and when the original dates sell out when tickets go on sale on March 7.

According to Billboard magazine, Justin’s return to Australian marks the first time in six years that he’s heading back. In 2007 the singer performed in Australia for his FutureSex/LoveSounds tour. So far the tour has been extremely successful with critics praising the tour-de-force show as Timberlake barely takes any breathers between his set.

As far as Australia’s reception, Timberlake’s 20/20 Experience sold very well as his first album opened at No. 1 and the second album in No. 4 when it was released in October.

So far JT’s tour has been anything but predictable. As we previously reported during a show Justin Timberlake had an audience member flip him the bird, which started endearing banter between Timberlake and the audience as they traded middle fingers for a few seconds. On a separate occasion the singer was groped on stage during his performance of “Cabaret.” Instead of stopping his show like he had done with the middle finger, the singer flicked the hand off and continued on without interruption.

Recently the singer stopped by Boston for a concert, and according to a source at the concert, he wasn’t feeling the cold weather. While at Boston’s TD Garden, Timberlake spoke about the weather, “It’s cold as f— here. I apologize, but there really is no other word to describe how cold it is.”

Nsync member Chris Kirkpatrick attended the concert and after the show Timberlake and fifteen people headed to J.J. Foley’s Irish bar for a birthday for one of his band member’s, a trumpeter and vocalist by the name of Dontae Winslow.
