Lea Michele: Cory Montieth And I ‘Talked About Kids’ Before His Death

Lea Michele recently opened up in an interview with Glamour UK about her life after Cory Montieth. One of the topics discussed was the plans she and Cory had for the rest of their lives. One of her statements was a real eye-opener as she said:

We talked about a lot of things. We talked about children and what we would look like when we grew old and who would be fat and how we would stay thin. We talked about where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do.

This is usually talk done between couples who are secure in their relationship. Lea and Cory first met on the set of the hit Fox television series, Glee, as co-stars. Michele played Rachel Berry, a high school girl who didn’t quite fit in with the rest of high school society but had big dreams to become a star. Montieth played the polar opposite of Lea’s character in the form of Finn Hudson, a popular high school jock who dated the prettiest cheerleader, was captain of the football team, and had no plans after graduation. The show may have been the place for their initial meeting but the last two years proved they were set as a couple. Even Lea had this to say about her relationship with Cory:

We were done. We were it. When you’re at that place in your life with someone, you talk about everything. But today I feel like I was given the best part of Cory and I’m thankful for that.

As reported by the Inquisitr last year, Cory Montieth passed away, at the age of 30, due to a drug overdose. Since then, there have been numerous news reports on what may have caused his death, musical tributes, and interviews with friends, family, and cast members especially Lea Michele.

Now that nine months have passed, Lea is expressing she is starting to feel a bit back together and how her future is like a blank canvas full of possibilities. She also explained how she has only been in serious relationships so getting over Cory may take a bit of time. However, she does have hopes of finding love again, just not anytime soon.

Near the end of the report by NY Daily News, Michele wrote a song dedicated to her lost love titled “If You Say So”. The track was written last month and is about the last thing Cory said to her. It will be on her debut album “Louder”.

It is good to read that Michele is moving on from this tragedy. It is also heartbreaking to know that both Lea and Cory were planning to spend the rest of the lives together, including having children, just for it all to be taken away.
