54-Year-Old Woman Wants To Be NFL Cheerleader

Brenda Gold wants to be a NFL cheerleader for the Cincinnati Bengals. However, she is 54 years old.

Yes, you read that right. Originally reported by WCPO Local News, A 54-year-old woman wants to become an NFL cheerleader. She however is getting a lot of support ever since she appeared on Live with Kelly and Michael. The morning show hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan were amazed at the transformation Gold went through after the make-over. She sported high heels, a stylish new dress, and a short haircut, and professionally-applied make-up. Kelly Ripa simply said, “Look how sexy she is.”

After the grand reveal, the Cincinnati math teacher SCPA strutted her stuff in front of a live studio audience in New York City and millions watching around the world. Gold then would compliment her school and speak highly of her students after she showed the prize money she won for “LIVE’s Looks as Young as You Feel Make-Over” contest. Nevertheless, all the fanfare and support has not distracted her from her main goal right now: to become an NFL cheerleader.

Brenda has expressed it is her dream to dance for the Ben-Gals, the cheerleader squad for the Cincinnati Bengals. Already, she is in great shape. In high school, she was a three-sport athlete. At the University of Kentucky, she played volleyball. Finally, she danced all her life. Still Brenda plans to prepare for the auditions by signing up for ten dance classes along with attending some of the squad’s workshops.

However, her biggest fans are easily her family. Besides being a teacher for numerous students, she is also a mother of two. Matt Gold, Brenda’s son, has expressed his support on USA Today. Along with some quirky single-liners on how he is the boy with the hot mom, Matt had this to say about his mother:

When she puts her mind to something, she’s tireless in achieving it, especially as a teacher. It’s amazing what she does to help her students each year. I’m rooting for her and wishing her luck, but I don’t think she needs it. She’s a great mom and a great person, and it’s nice to see her getting some notice.

With the national exposure from Live with Kelly and Michael and the support of numerous people across the nation, Brenda Gold seems ready. She is poised to become the next woman to cheer for the fans at the next Bengals game and she had to do it all on her own unlike some who were just offered the position to be a cheerleader.

Even after the make-over contest on an Ohio television network, Brenda simply said, “Now, I really think I can do this.”
