Jessica Alba Reveals In Candid Interview: ‘I Was So Fearful Of Failure’

Jessica Alba gave an interview to Nylon magazine for their March 2014 issue and revealed a whole lot about herself and her acting career. She started by talking about how much she has enjoyed playing a “badass” in her acting career:

It’s been liberating to be able to play someone who’s a badass or promiscuous because that’s the opposite of who I am…It’s like a drug. I don’t have to be a boss; I don’t have to be a wife; I don’t have to be a sister.

What was most revealing about her candid interview was the fact that she shared how she lacked confidence in her early days of acting and how acting helped her improve it:

Before I was so fearful of failure and judgment that I was scared to put myself out there. You don’t have to be a robot, you don’t have to be appropriate all the time. I know how to ride a motorcycle, I can do wire work like you see in the circuses. I can shoot a gun. I know how to fight, too.

Jessica Alba concluded by revealing how important she thinks a positive attitude to life is: “as long as you don’t make a habit of it, tomorrow will be here, and everything will be okay,” she said.

It is wonderful to see Hollywood celebs being so upbeat and positive about life. The Jessica Alba interview in Nylon is a nice change to what readers are used to reading about when it comes to celebs. Nevertheless, Jessica Alba admitted that she is addicted to acting and could never leave it. Is that a good thing? Share your thoughts in the comments feed below.
