Camila Alves: Matthew McConaughey Suffers From A Romantic Failure To Launch

Camila Alves says her husband Matthew McConaughey is nothing like the characters in his movies. In fact, you could almost say he suffers from a romantic “failure to launch.” (Hint: That’s the title for one of his old romance movies where McConaughey starred with Sara Jessica Parker, who has suffered from relationship issues of her own.)

In a related report by The Inquisitr, Camila Alves’ hubby can’t be too much of a downer since they’ve managed to have three children together named Levi, Vida, and 13-month-old Livingston.

During an interview with James Lipton on Inside The Actors Studio, McConaughey revealed some interesting tidbits about his wife. Back in 2006 they first met at a bar on Sunset Boulevard. Although they both admitted it was not love at first sight, this admission was shocker to Camila, who blurted out: “That’s the first time you’ve said that!” Still, McConaughey recalls her making a good first impression since he recalls thinking: “Woo-ha! Wow!”

Then the subject got more interesting when the host asked whether Camila Alves’ husband was like the character in The Wedding Planner. Her response? She immediately laughed, but was allowed to explain:

“It’s very funny because people see him onscreen or out there in public in a certain way, and they have this vision of him being this romantic and so passionate. Just very romantic and grabs you and kisses you. And sometimes I’m like, ‘Who is this guy? Can you be a little bit of that?’ Sometimes I’m like, ‘Can we bring that guy home for a little bit?'”

When Matthew McConaughey was asked whether Camila Alves was telling the truth, he just said, “Absolutely!”
