Lil Wayne ‘Tha Carter V’ Track List Revealed, Kanye West And Drake Appear On New Album

The track list for Lil Wayne’s new album Tha Carter V may have leaked online months ahead of its scheduled release date.

The internet hasn’t stopped talking about the rapper’s upcoming record, a collection of songs that could be his last. Shortly after Drake announced the project on Twitter, someone decided to leak the tracklist online.

The folks over at Rap-Up report that engineer Mike B. recently held a listening session for Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V, an gathering that ultimately resulted in the tracklist getting leaked. According to reports, a sneaky individual who attended the session managed to snap a photo of the songs that are presently expected to appear on the album. That’s the rumor, anyway.

What’s most impression about Lil Wayne’s latest adventure in the studio is the number of guests he’s lined up for the album. Not only did he enlist Young Money rapper Drake, he also convinced Kanye West, Young Thug, Future, J. Cole, and Meek Mill to lend a helping hand.

“Wayne really pulls out all the stops for his final album. The features are on point,” an anonymous source told Rap-Up.

During a recent Drake show at the House of Blues in New Orleans, Lil Wayne appeared to shed some light on the record’s release date. Unless something funky happens between now and then, the rapper intends to drop Tha Carter V on May 5. This leaves the guy plenty of time to mess around with the rumored tracklist.

Cash Money Records Vice President of Promotion Mel Smith recently sat down for a chat with Cassius College student newspaper The Griffin. Although Smith couldn’t reveal any specific details about the project at the time, he said fans should enjoy what the rapper has put together.

Smith told the publication:

“He’s one of the artists like Prince who just continues to record. He does it for the love of the art, for the record, he continues to work hard to top himself, like when he does the ‘I Am Not A Human Being’ records that he’s, which are a little more rock and roll tangent, a little more pop tangent while ‘Tha Carter V’ is a little more Lil Wayne getting it to you straight from New Orleans.”

Before you start celebrating the fact that Kanye West, Drake, and a slew of other popular rappers are helping out with Tha Carter V, keep in mind that Lil Wayne could make some serious changes to the record before its release. Regardless, chances are folks will definitely continuing buzzing about the project until its May 5 release date.
