Watch Team USA Vs. Finland Hockey Live Online, Sochi Olympics Bronze Medal Game

Fans can watch the Team USA vs. Finland hockey game live online as the teams play for the bronze medal in the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

The bronze medal game will be broadcast Saturday at 10 am ET. Though the teams have met 12 times in the Olympics, this will be the first time they meet with the bronze medal on the line. The game will be broadcast on the NBC Sports Network, and is also available live online thanks to NBC.

Both teams came into the hockey tournament with hopes of winning the gold medal, but both lost in the semifinal round and missed their chances at gold. Finland fell to Sweden, while the United States lost to Canada after goaltender Carey Price shut the door, winning in a 1-0 shutout.

“We didn’t score a lot of goals, but we didn’t have to,” Canada forward Jonathan Toews said. “The next game will follow that work ethic. We can check, we can work our tails off, and we can make things real tough for the other team.”

Team USA was left feeling bitter after a loss in which they failed to get sustained pressure on the Canadians.

“We didn’t show up to play,” U.S. defenseman Ryan Suter said. “It’s too bad…. We sat back. We were passive. You can’t play scared. I thought we sat on our heels and just didn’t take it to them at all.”

Fans who watch the Team USA vs. Finland hockey game live online will get to see two teams fighting to bring home some hardware after disappointing losses.

“A bronze medal would be an unbelievable thing,” 43-year-old Finnish forward Teemu Selanne said after his team’s loss. “So that is our goal now, even though it is very disappointing right now.”
