Lady Gaga, Robbie Williams Prepare To Trek Through Australia

Lady Gaga and Robbie Williams recently announced a handful of shows in Australia. Unfortunately for fans, they aren’t sharing the same bill.

Since Mother Monster wants to bring the ARTPOP Ball to as many people as humanly possible, she decided to scheduled a handful of shows Down Under. The singer will reportedly perform at Perth Arena (August 20), Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne (August 23), and Brisbane Entertainment Centre (August 26). She’ll wrap up this leg of her tour at Sydney’s Allphones Arena on August 30.

According to the folks at Billboard, Lady Gaga has quite a few fans kicking around Australia at the moment. The singer’s latest album ARTPOP debuted at number two when it hit retail last year.

Lady Gaga’s ARTPOP Ball tour will officially begin on May 4 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Once she’s finished touring the United States, the singer will embark on a series of shows throughout Europe.

Mother Monster also plans to take her songs to the far reaches of outer space in 2015. If all goes according to the singer’s master plan, then she’ll blast off into space aboard Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic. Once she’s free of the earth’s atmosphere, she’ll perform a few songs for anyone — or anything — listening at that particular moment.

She explained:

“I honestly can’t wait [to perform in space]. I can’t wait to design the performance. I’m auctioning off my second seat [on a Virgin Galactic flight] to raise money for the Born This Way Foundation. I want to make a moment that is about much more than me. Performing in space is such an honor. I want to challenge myself to come up with something that will not only bring everyone together but will also have a message of love that blasts into the beyond.”

Once folks have properly checked out Lady Gaga on the ARTPOP Ball tour, they can spend their hard-earned money on Robbie Williams’ upcoming shows. The former Take That singer will essentially play the same venues as Gaga, though his performances will unfold in September.

Here’s when fans can catch Robbie Williams in Australia.

September 11 – Perth Arena
September 16 – Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
September 22 – Brisbane Entertainment Centre
September 27 – Allphones Arena, Sydney

Lady Gaga and Robbie Williams aren’t the only recording artists to take their schtick Down Under in recent days. Dolly Parton and Eddie Vedder are currently touring the region, while Katy Perry and Justin Timberlake should announce their own shows in Australia very soon.
