Demi Lovato and a few of her fellow pop stars are currently at the center of a very peculiar slice of ridiculous internet gossip.
Depending on who you believe, Lovato is receiving some assistance from Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez in her revenge plot against Miley Cyrus. The reason: The troubled pop star allegedly cheated on Gomez with former Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus.
Before you start grabbing your pitchforks and lighting the torches, it's highly unlikely that there's even a stitch of truth to this rumor. Demi Lovato's revenge scheme against Cyrus seems to have originated from an anonymous source who felt the need to spill the beans to the folks over at Life & Style magazine.
"Both Taylor and Demi know how heartbroken Selena has been and they hate what Miley did to her," a source told the publication. All four girls used to be friendly, but when Selena heard Miley started making moves on Justin, it went downhill," the insider recently dished to the publication.
The source added that Cyrus is keenly aware of the plot Demi Lovato and her cohorts are putting together. As a result, she makes sure the girls aren't lurking around when she decides to hit the clubs. Rumors also suggest that Lovato is attempting to freeze Miley out of lucrative events and appearances.
Is there any aspect of this story that you should believe? Probably not. The rumor-squashing do-gooders over at Gossip Cop reached out to a so-called "Gomez insider" for a comment on the story. Not surprisingly, the source shot down reports that the former X Factor judge is plotting against Miley Cyrus.
"There is no conspiracy against Miley. These girls are way too busy in their lives to be participating in the nonsense described in this ridiculous story," the individual told the website.
Since Demi Lovato is currently wrapped up in the Neon Lights tour, she doesn't really have a lot of free time to plot childish schemes against Miley Cyrus. The singer recently told MTV News that she's completely devoted to making her tour as entertaining as humanly possible.
"This is bigger and better than any show I've ever put on. It's a completely different tour. It's kind of just the next step of my career, and 2014 is going to be f***ing amazing," Lovato told the outlet.
She added, "Every show, it gets better and better and you become more comfortable with the set list and some of the songs and see how it progresses and just be able to get closer with my fans."
Did you believe even for a second that Demi Lovato and her pals were plotting against fellow pop star Miley Cyrus? Is the Hollywood gossip machine running out of ideas?
