Is Lana Del Rey Starting Trouble With Lorde On Twitter?

Is Lana Del Rey trying to stir up trouble with Lorde on Twitter?

If you missed out on all the drama that took place last year, then you’re probably wondering what’s going on between the singers at the moment. Apparently Lorde said some unflattering things about Lana Del Rey during an interview, comments that she later clarified.

However, the “Video Games” singer probably didn’t care that Lorde referred to her musical output as “irrelevant.” Del Rey’s fans weren’t exactly thrilled with the comments either, prompting some to issue some mean-spirited tweets in the “Royals” singer’s general direction.

Although the drama had settled down for a while, apparently some folks aren’t willing to let things go. When someone posted something nasty with Lorde’s name attached, most didn’t think too much of it. That is, of course, until Lana Del Rey favorited the tweet.

Not surprisingly, a lot of fans were a little surprised that Lana Del Rey would favorite such a tweet. Check out some of their reactions below.

Unfortunately for the person who originally posted the image, Lana Del Rey eventually unfavorited the tweet. However, the individual wasn’t entirely surprised by the singer’s decision to avoid starting trouble with the Twitter-based gesture. Since we’re discussing it right now, apparently the damage is already done.

For those who missed the gossipy boat last year, here’s what Lord had to say about folks such as Lana Del Rey. In Lorde’s humble opinion, the majority of pop stars sing or rap about topics that don’t matter to most people.

The singer said:

“Around the middle of last year I started listening to a lot of rap, like Nicki Minaj and Drake, as well as pop singers like Lana Del Rey. They all sing about such opulence, stuff that just didn’t relate to me-or anyone that I knew. I began thinking, ‘How are we listening to this? It’s completely irrelevant.’ Lana Del Rey is always singing about being in the Hamptons or driving her Bugatti Veyron or whatever, and at the time, me and my friends were at some house party worrying how to get home because we couldn’t afford a cab. This is our reality.”

What do you think about Lana Del Rey favoriting a mean-spirited tweet directed at Lorde? Do you think people are making a big deal over absolutely nothing?
