Mortgage Fraud Suspected in Palin Home Purchase in Arizona

While Sarah Palin has been off courting the media and not governing Alaska, it seems the media maven unwittingly got caught up in a mortgage fraud situation in Arizona.

Palin admitted “she was part of a company” involved in the purchase of a five bedroom home in Scottsdale. But the chain of sale of the home may have been tainted by improper foreclosure procedures and the use of robo-signers, and it seems who actually owns the home purchased by the company- Safari Investments LLC- could be in dispute:

…records on the property compiled by the fraud examiner shows that at least two fraudulent signatures were involved in re-financing.

Fraudulent signatures were also observed in foreclosure transactions on the property in the years before Palin’s company purchased it.

This finding may now raise questions about the legality of the house sale, reports The Huff Post.

Flak for Palin have not responded to requests for comment on the mortgage fraud issue.
