Miley Cyrus has been turning up the antics during the Bangerz tour, inappropriately touching herself on stage in one concert and chewing on a fan's dirty underwear in another.
The 21-year-old singer set the stage for her behavior last year when she twerked on stage during a performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, grinding on much-older singer Robin Thicke while wearing little more than underwear. The singer followed up with an ever-escalating series of public antics, culminating in her current Bangerz tour.
On Friday, Miley Cyrus kicked off the tour in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, by simulating oral sex on a President Bill Clinton impersonator. Later in that concert she pretended to masturbate, rubbing her crotch on stage and later violating a foam finger.
Miley had even more in store for Sunday night's concert in Tacoma, Washington. During the concert a fan threw a red thong on stage, which Miley proceeded to pick up.
Miley Cyrus then brought the thong to her mouth and appeared to suck and chew on it. Some have speculated that Miley planned the stunt, having someone in the crew throw it on stage, but it was shocking nonetheless.
Before the Bangerz tour started, Miley Cyrus said the shocking acts are actually a bit of performance art.
In an interview conducted by her sister Brandi, Cyrus told Fuse News: "Even though parents probably won't think this, I think my show is educational for kids because of the art they're going to be exposed to that most people don't know about.
"People are taught to look at things so black and white, especially in small towns. So I'm more excited to take this show to places where things like this would probably never get accepted, and kids wouldn't learn about this different kind of art."
Fans may not get the point of it all. After the thong chewing incident, many fans took to Twitter to say Miley Cyrus was "disgusting."
