‘Pretty Little Liars’ Spinoff ‘Ravenswood’ Cancelled After One Season

Pretty Little Liars fans will either be very excited or very upset to hear that ABC Family has canceled the spinoff series, Ravenswood, after only one season.

According to E! News, a rep from the network confirmed that they will not be ordering additional episodes of the series fronted by Tyler Blackburn who plays the oh-so-lovable Caleb Rivers in both Ravenswood and Pretty Little Liars.

For those of you who never got into Ravenswood, the series centered around a town not too far away from Pretty Little Liars’ Rosewood, Pennsylvania. The town of Ravenswood has been plagued with a deadly curse for many generations. The curse is centered around a pact made when the town was in it’s youth. In order to bring home the town’s soldiers from war, five of the towns children must be sacrificed. For every war, five kids (generally anyone below the age of 18) mysteriously die in some fashion. Throughout the show’s first season, viewers saw five strangers come together and try to unravel the curse that has them bound together.

Well, the Pretty Little Liar spinoff show lasted a whole 10 episodes and ended on February 4, 2014. There have been a variety of comments on the cancellation of Ravenswood. Just check out Twitter’s reactions:

Seems like there is a pretty mixed reaction to the announcement that Ravenswood has been canceled. While many may be mourning the loss the show, true Pretty Little Liars fans are not so secretly rejoicing.

Many fans are hoping that with Ravenswood out of the picture, Tyler Blackburn can come back to Pretty Little Liars and return to his role as Caleb Rivers. Apparently Caleb leaving Hanna, played by Ashley Benson, left many PLL fans feeling slightly jaded. What do you think of Ravenswood getting the axe?
