Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel Get Creative With Roller Skates In Upcoming ‘Sex Tape’
Cameron Diaz will be appearing with Jason Segel in the summer comedy Sex Tape, which is scheduled for release in late July 2014. A still photo from the film is making the rounds online and seems to promise some raucous sexual adventures between the two stars.
Sex Tape involves a 10-year married couple looking to spice things up a bit in their relationship. They decide it may be a good idea to create a video in which the two attempt every single position in The Joy of Sex in one lengthy session. However, things go awry, as they typically do in comedies such as this, when the video possibly becomes public.
Diaz and Segel are both looking healthy and trim in the photo, but apparently Segel had to put in some work to get in shape for the role. He explained his simple regimen to Us Weekly back in August. “I’ve just been living healthy, exercising, eating right—no more midnight pizzas,” Segel said. “This time when I take my shirt off, I’ve made a promise to myself, it doesn’t have to be funny.”
If you recall, the two stars of Sex Tape collaborated previously in the 2011 comedy Bad Teacher, which was also directed by Jake Kasdan. It appears there is a sequel in the works for Bad Teacher as well, with all of the principles presumably returning.
Diaz is certainly no stranger to racy adult comedies, but her role in Bad Teacher was a bit of a departure in that her character was pretty disagreeable. While her list of credits is impressive and diverse, Diaz’s most iconic role was arguably in There’s Something About Mary, where the actress plays the titular character and the object of every man’s desires.
In regard to the early part of Diaz’s career, a recent appearance on the Ellen show produced a reference to 1994’s The Mask, her film debut that starred Jim Carrey. This blast from the past involved DeGeneres arranging for someone to appear in the costume from the film, completely catching Diaz by surprise with the prank.
The premise for Sex Tape seems to offer endless possibilities for wacky bedroom shenanigans between Diaz and Segel. With the film not being released until late July, we can no doubt look forward to the release of more creative images of the pair in the sack.
