Shania Twain Celebrates Milestone: 75 Million Albums Sold

75 million albums, that’s how many records country superstar Shania Twain has sold since she burst onto the scene with multiple hits and cross over pop success.

The announcement comes just as Twain released her “Today Is Your Day” single, her first offering in six years. At this time her newest song is available exclusive on iTunes and was produced by Nathan Chapman who has also worked with Taylor Swift, the song is already No. 2 on the iTunes country songs chart.

Writing to her fans about her new single Twain said:

“The purpose of writing ‘Today Is Your Day’ in the first place was self-inspiration,” while adding, “I was talking to myself and saying, “Today is your day. You can do it!” But the decision to even write the song and share it was a big decision for me, to find myself as a songwriter again, independently, for the very first time after all these years.”

Next on her agenda of things to do? Her very own show called Why Not? With Shania Twain for Oprah’s OWN network.
