Kanye West Goes H•A•M On Radio DJs Sway and Charlemagne, “SHUT THE F— UP!”
So much for keeping quiet for the first six months of the year! Kanye West’s loose lips have sunk another ship! According to TMZ, the Yeezus rapper went on yet another rant last night during his concert at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park at Penn State. The publication also says that this particular tirade may be “his loudest yet.”
West, who compared himself to the famed classical composer Beethoven and English playwright Shakespeare, definitely made his sentiments known about two radio DJs in particular – DJs Sway and Charlemagne Tha God.
For those who aren’t aware, West and Sway have had a number of sparring matches on air, as the two can never seem to co-exist on amicable terms. However, West’s irritation derives from the DJs’ crass, on-air remarks. The two have went on record calling the rapper “egotistical” and “narcissistic.”
So, the “Run This Town” rapper has decided to take matters into his own hands to address the situation. Of course, West dropped the F-bomb left and right while making his point.
“If I go to a radio interview, SHUT THE F–K UP!!!,” he shrieked. He also addressed Charlemagne who showed a picture of him walking with his fiancé, as he went on to question the DJ about his own life accomplishments. He also stressed how hard he works, burning the midnight oil “in the studio every night until 5 a.m.”
“This ain’t no joke,” he said. “We ain’t think about nobody. We think about Shakespeare. We think about Beethoven. What can we make for y’all? What can y’all play on your way to school or on y’all way to work? What can we make to make y’all feel better?”
West then began reciting the hook of 2007 hit single “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” which was quite befitting, given the subject matter of his rant. However, he wasn’t done ripping the DJs yet. “You’re trying to make a joke out of what we do?” West says. “Shut the fuck up! What the fuck you do?”
Then, he opted to take a calmer approach toward the situation, as he claimed he wasn’t upset. “Everybody writing all s–t to f–king diss me and talk s–t, what the f–k did you do? What have you done with your motherf–kin’ life,Charlamagne, Sway, what the f–k you did? F–k you did?”
“F–k these niggas’ names is? I am Yeezus!” Then, the crowd began a resounding “Yeezus,” igging the rapper on. West ended his rant by putting his hand up to silence the crowd. “Like Michael Jackson,” he said, “I’m with the love.” Then, he yelled “Shut the f–k up!,” once again.
