Soleil Moon Frye Gives Birth To Baby Boy, Picks Unusually Musical Name

Soleil Moon Frye has a musical name for her new baby boy.

After the actress gave birth, she took to her personal website to let friends know the name she and husband Jason Goldberg picked.

“Welcome to the world Lyric Sonny Roads Goldberg!” Frye wrote on Wednesday. “Can’t wait to share our pics and moments in the upcoming months. Thanks for all the love and support.”

The third child for Soleil Moon Frye was born on February 9, which she announced to fans on Twitter. Lyric was a big boy, coming in at 9 pounds and 21 inches long.

He has two siblings with other artistic-sounding names — big sisters Poet, 8, and Jagger, 5.

Back in October, Soleil told Us Weekly that she hopes the baby boy will bring out a little maternal side in her daughters.

“I hope that since Poet’s 8 and Jagger’s 5 that they’ll be little mommies,” Frye said. “We don’t have a nanny and everyone in our family chips in.”

Learning the baby’s gender was a surprise, Soleil said.

“I was so shocked because I always thought that if you have two of one sex, the statistics are that you’ll have a third of the same sex,” she said. “So I just thought we’d have three girls. My girls still don’t completely believe it.”

Even before Soleil Moon Frye knew the gender of the baby, her daughters were getting excited to pitch in.

“It’s so funny: They’re like, ‘If it’s a girl we’re gonna dress her up and if it’s a boy, we’re gonna dress him up and paint his nails!’ They’re just so excited,” she said back in August. “They’re touching my belly. They’re so into it! It’s so cute.”

Soleil Moon Frye said last summer that her daughters were also hard at work coming up with ideas.

“Half of them are from fairytales. It’s hysterical!” she said of the suggestions.

Soleil Moon Frye didn’t say where the name Lyric Sonny Roads Goldberg came from.
