The impossible has finally happened – Duke Nukem begins to roll out

For years, well actually probably more years than some of our readers have even been alive, there was one constant – Duke Nukem would be out within the year. Well, it never did and for most of the Duke Nukem faithful it didn’t matter how much we wanted to keep the faith as each year went by the game became more vaporware than reality.

Then last year word exploded across the gaming landscape that Gearbox Software, developers of my favorite FPS game Borderland, had bought everything to do with Duke Nukem and they were promising that it would be out this year.

It seemed to be too good to be true and even good friends of mine gave me a hard time for believing in The Duke once again (yes Sean I am looking at you buddy).

Well folks that day has come.

Valve’s Steam online game store has just announced that starting today they are rolling out Duke Nukem Forever. Starting in Australia, New Zealand and parts of Asia you can saunter up and buy your copy of the classic game that next to Doom stated it all.

The King is Back! Duke Nukem Forever is now available in Australia, New Zealand and parts of Asia. *Duke Nukem Forever will release in other regions soon, please see the store page for release times.

Put on your shades and step into the boots of Duke Nukem. The alien hordes are invading and only Duke can save the world. Pig cops, alien shrink rays and enormous alien bosses can’t stop this epic hero from accomplishing his goal: to save the world and save the babes!

*Game not available in all regions. Please see product page for availability.

The really sad part of this news is that I still have to wait 4 and a half days *SIGH*
