Explosion at Intel’s Arizona Plant Injures 7

An explosion that occurred this week at an Intel plant in Phoenix, Arizona has left seven employees injured and one with severe burns.

According to the Phoenix Business Journal the accident occurred in the company’s solvent waste treatment room at Fab 22, forcing Intel Vice President Josh Walden to assure everyone that “there was no damage or release of chemicals to the community.”

While an investigation is currently underway all facilities effected by the explosion have resumed their roles.

The company promises to update the public once their own investigation reveals what caused the explosion to occur in the first place.
