David Cameron: Don’t Tell My Kids That Hannah Montana Is Miley Cyrus
UK Prime Minister David Cameron said his kids don’t know Hannah Montana is Miley Cyrus.
Since his children are still pretty young, they haven’t made the connection between the Disney character and controversial singer just yet. However, it’s probably only a matter of time before they realize that Cyrus is the one who brought Hannah Montana to life.
“My children are too young. They knew Hannah Montana and luckily they haven’t made the link yet, so don’t put this in the paper! They haven’t connected this lovely Hannah Montana, who is now this person twerking,” Cameron recently told the Daily Mail.
While many famous folks don’t have any problem dishing on the former Hannah Montana star and her recent antic, Cameron stopped short of revealing how he felt about Miley Cyrus and her penchant for controversy.
“I don’t want to get drawn into all that. I’ve got into enough trouble commenting on celebrity issues recently so I think I will pass!” he added.
Cameron should probably make sure his children avoid the latest issue of W magazine. Cyrus decided to strip down to almost nothing for the cover of the publication. Apparently the singer has absolutely no problem showing the world everything she’s got.
Of course, the British Prime Minister isn’t the only person from the UK who has discussed Cyrus’ hijinks in recent days. The Inquisitr previously reported that British actor Sir David Jason thinks the singer presents everything that’s presently wrong with modern society.
“Miley Cyrus epitomises what we have allowed. She has done it to break the mold. I can understand why, but we have given her the oxygen of publicity and encouraged it, so young girls will think it is the right way to attract men. We’ve lost our standards,” the Darling Buds of May star explained to The Sun on Sunday.
The acclaimed actor continued, “Once upon a time if you said this or did that, you’d be off the air. They wouldn’t dare show it. It slowly drip feeds, erodes standards of politeness, manners and morality. It just drips and it takes us further and further down, and instead of inspiring us to look up, we are all going down.”
Cyrus recently revealed the fate of Hannah Montana on Saturday Night Live. In short: Don’t expect the “Wrecking Ball” singer to revisit that character anytime soon.
“I don’t apologize for my VMAs performance. If I owe anybody an apology, it’s the people who make the bottom half of shirts. There are a few subjects I’m not going to get into tonight: I’m not going to do Hannah Montana, but I can give you an update. She was murdered,” she joked during her appearance on the sketch show.
