Doritos Commercial: Which Super Bowl Advert Will Win The $1 Million Prize?

One lucky winner of the Doritos commercial competition is set to win a life-changing $1 million. Two adverts were produced by two fans and were aired during last Sunday’s Super Bowl.

The creators of those two adverts will now have the opportunity to work with Marvel Studios on the production of the new The Avengers: Age of Ultron movie.

On top of that honor, one of the two Doritos commercials creators will win $1 million following a vote on the Doritos website for people’s favorite ad. The runner-up will receive a $50,000 cash prize.

Ryan Anderson from Scottsdale Arizona is responsible for the first of the two Doritos commercials, aptly named ‘Time Machine.’ The second advert was made by Amber Gill of Ladera Ranch California and is called ‘Cowboy Kid.’

Ram Krishnan, the vice president of PepsiCo’s marketing department, said about the unique competition:

“There has been tremendous enthusiasm around the world for all five of our finalists and we couldn’t be more thrilled with how consumers have rallied behind their favorites during the voting process.

While fan votes picked one winner, the Doritos brand had a tough time picking our second winner, so we ultimately decided to go with the ad that generated the second highest votes.

We’re extremely proud of our two winners and look forward to revealing who will win the $1 million grand prize.”

The two winning adverts were selected by a qualified panel of judges, including a number of executives from Doritos. The competition was open internationally for the first time this year and attracted over 5,400 submissions from 30 countries worldwide.

Did you see either of the Doritos commercials aired during this year’s Super Bowl? If so, which was your favorite and did you cast your vote on the Doritos website?
