Eric Decker’s Wife Jessie James Talks About Getting Broncos To Super Bowl

Eric Decker’s wife, Jessie James is sharing some of her secrets about how the players’ wives got the Broncos to the Super Bowl.

When you think of a football team getting to the ultimate game — the Super Bowl — you wouldn’t normally think about players’ wives as part of the wining formula.

Eric Decker’s wife, country music singer Jessie James has found a sisterhood of sorts with the rest of the Denver Broncos women.

Decker — a wide receiver — is one of the main reasons the Broncos are in the Super Bowl, him and a guy called Peyton Manning.

But don’t give all the credit only to the players, Eric Decker’s wife and the rest of the players’ better halves also played a big role in getting the team to the big game in New Jersey.

“I’m like over the moon that we are here,” James told ABC News. “The wives definitely pray together before each game. We did a big prayer before the last playoff game, we all sit there hand in hand, eyes closed and just pray. Now, we are here and we know our prayers worked, so we’ll have to do it again this week!”

So it’s a tight knit group that is 100 percent behind their men and she is very positive that, in the end, the Broncos will bring the Vince Lombardi Trophy back to Denver.

“When they win, I’m going to be extremely excited and we are going to celebrate,” she said. “There will be a lot of tears and laughter for sure.”

James won’t be wearing her feelings on her sleeve, Eric Decker’s wive is all business and completely focused on the task at hand, getting her man and his team to victory the best she can.

Jessie talked about what goes on during game day and how she gets through the stress every weekend:

“The morning of games I get butterflies. At the game, I’m not really one of those that’s jumping and screaming,” she said. “I get very, very serious, very pensive. I’m just concentrating.”

But for Eric Decker, there is no only worrying about the biggest game of his life, but the upcoming birth of his child.

Jessie James is 32-weeks pregnant with the couple’s baby girl and will soon have travel restrictions placed on her, so the Super Bowl comes just in time.

“After the game, I’ll go right back to Denver and just relax until this baby hatches,” she said.

During her stay in New York, James also took part in the Yoplait Greek Taste-Off, which gives fans the chance to decided which they like better Yoplait or Chobani.

“It’s so funny, because during my pregnancy, this has been one of my cravings,” she said. “This is like my midnight snack.”

Eric Decker and Jessie James have revealed their little bundle’s name begins with a V, not a family tradition, but a classic southern name which they both love and one of Jesse’s favorite movie characters. Can you guess?
