Wing Bowl 22: Tiny Mom Molly Schuyler Downs 363 Chicken Wings, Smashing World Record

Wing Bowl 22 saw an almost unreal spectacle of eating — giant Philadelphia Eagles Eagles offensive lineman Jason Kelce, a mountain of a man, sitting next to 125-pound Molly Schuyler, a mother of four, both of them eating chicken wings as fast as possible.

And it was Molly who came out on top — big time.

Schuyler actually blew away all of her competition at Wing Bowl 22, finishing with a world record 363 wings.

Schuyler’s feat of eating was amazing even to Wing Bowl co-creator Angelo Cataldi, who has seen plenty of 300-plus wing performances.

“I’ve never seen anything like that,” he said. “It’s like an optical illusion, or a medical miracle. I think she’s capable of 400 [wings].”

Amazingly, Molly Schuyler has only been a competitive eater for two years before her Wing Bowl 22 performance for the ages.

The petite mom, who rose to viral fame earlier this month when she destroyed a 72-ounce steak in a matter of minutes in a performance caught on camera, didn’t have a lot to say after Wing Bowl 22.

“I didn’t expect to win,” she said.

She was quite excited about the $22,000 prize, however.

“I can pay my bills now,” Schuyler said with a smile.

Wing Bowl 22 had its saltier moments, Philly.com noted. The crowd of mostly younger men got a bit rowdy with the few women in attendance, creating what the report referred to as a Mardi Gras type atmosphere. The scantily clad Wingettes added to the debacle.

But Schuyler remained unfazed, plowing through her chicken wings almost without stopping for a breath.

Cataldi said after her Wing Bowl 22 performance, Molly Schuyler would make a great matchup for Takeru Kobayashi, former hot dog eating champion and the previous chicken wing record holder. But Molly said she’s not sure how much longer she’ll be in competitive eating, saying it’s “hard on my family.”
