Richard Sherman Interview Recreated By ‘Shermit’ The Frog & Miss Piggy [Video]

Who can forget the now infamous Richard Sherman rant heard ’round the world while he spoke to SportsCenter’s Erin Andrews?

To further move it into posterity a new version with Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy titled “Shermit The Frog Post-Game Interview” was posted to YouTube by three guys who call themselves GarlicJacksonComedy.

Of course, Miss Piggy plays the role of the shocked Andrews as she asked an innocent, but relevant question to the Seattle Seahawks cornerback after his team beat the San Francisco 49ers to advance to Super Bowl XLVIII (48) against the Denver Broncos.

The 38-second long clip is quite funny and reflects perfectly what took place in the Richard Sherman/Erin Andrews interview.

When Andrews asked Sherman about his game ending tip — which in essence ended San Francisco’s dream to reach the Super Bowl in the last seconds of the game — the Seahawk didn’t really answer what was being asked and instead went off on 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree.

We later found out that Sherman and Crabtree have a beef that goes back a while — although neither of them has discussed it.

Many have criticized Richard Sherman for the way he went about making his point and everyone from Tom Brady to Peyton Manning have expressed an opinion on the ill advised interview.

Richard Sherman tried to explain himself afterwards saying that Andrews “caught him at the wrong time”, coming from just getting into the Super Bowl and a tad ticked at Crabtree for refusing to shake hands after the Seattle player’s game ending interception of Colin Kapaernick’s pass:

“Erin Andrews interviewed me after the game and I yelled what was obvious: If you put a subpar player across from a great one, most of the time you’re going to get one result. A lot of what I said to Andrews was adrenaline talking, and some of that was Crabtree. I just don’t like him.”

It’s obvious that Richard Sherman doesn’t have a problem saying exactly what’s on his mind and how he feels about Michael Crabtree and in the process put his name on the national map.

Before the interview, not that many people outside Seattle knew who Richard Sherman was, now, not many don’t know the outspoken player.

Richard Sherman is getting a lot of attention from reporters as the Super Bowl nears and chances are we will get one or two interesting clips from him between now and then.
