A blue lobster, no it’s not a joke, just a one in four million chance

We’ve all heard the term “once in a blue moon”, but I’m betting you’ve never heard the Atlantic Provinces version… you know… “once in a blue lobster”.

Given that it is a rare genetic mutation, one in four million, the chance that Blair Doucette would pull one of them up from his fishing grounds off of Prince Edward Island, a Canadian Atlantic province, were pretty slim.

As you can see though he beat the odds with this genetic rarity that he is thinking of donating to a local aquarium.
