‘The Lord of the Rings’ Concert Tour to Hit West Coast


LOTR fans residing in western U.S. are in for treat this fall as The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring concert will be performing in various cities along the pacific coast.

The concert itself will combine a screening of the Peter Jackson movie accompanied by a live performance of the soundtrack portion. According to the official website, the Munich Symphony Orchestra, along with the Phoenix Boys Choir and Pacific Chorale will be lead by Conductor Ludwig Wicki.

The tour dates and stops are as follows:

  • Oct. 12 – Glendale, AZ Jobing.com Arena
  • Oct. 13 – San Diego, CA ValleyView Casino Center
  • Oct. 14 – Las Vegas, NV The Orleans Arena
  • Oct. 15 – Anaheim, CA Honda Center
  • Oct. 18 Portland, OR Rose Garden Arena
  • Oct. 19 Seattle, WA Key Arena
  • Oct. 21 Fresno, CA Save Mart Center
  • Oct. 22 Oakland, CA Oracle Arena
  • Oct. 23 Sacramento, CA Power Balance Pavilion

The October 2011 run of Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring in concert will be followed by similar tour dates for The Two Towers in 2012 and The Return of the King in 2013, on each film’s tenth anniversary.

Tickets go on sale Friday June 10th.
