Selena Gomez: Man Arrested For Trespassing At Singer’s Home

Selena Gomez has more to deal with than Justin Bieber’s recent arrest these days.

As if dealing with questions about the troubled pop singer’s brush with the law wasn’t enough, Gomez recently had to contend with a very eerie encounter at her home in Tarzana, California. According to police, a teenager was reportedly busted over the weekend after family members discovered him creeping around the property.

Authorities rushed to Selena Gomez’s home after 19-year-old Juan Daniel Garcia was allegedly caught trespassing on Saturday. Although a relative called 911 after spotting the teenager hanging around the house, it’s currently unknown if Gomez was actually at the residence at the time of Garcia’s arrest.

When asked why he decided to pay Selena Gomez an unscheduled visit, the suspect told police that he wanted to get a closer look at the singer. Not surprisingly, he was immediately placed under arrest at the scene.

Although The Associated Press attempted to get a statement from Selena Gomez’s representatives, no one from the singer’s camp has officially commented on the situation as of this writing. The outlet was also unable to determine if Garcia had a lawyer.

Unfortunately for Selena Gomez, this isn’t the first time she’s attracted the attention of an obsessive fan. The Inquisitr previously reported that the singer was eventually granted a restraining order against Thomas Brodnicki after he threatened to kill the former Wizards of Waverly Place star a few years ago.

Even Brodnicki admitted that he is a potential threat to Gomez’s well-being. Although he refused to appear in court, he filed a declaration that illustrated just how desperate he is to make contact with the singer.

“I believe that a restraining order should be issued against me to prevent me from trying to contact Selena Gomez. I do not wish to object to the restraining order against me because I know it is the only thing that will make me stay away from Selena,” he said.

In addition to this unsettling incident at her California home, Selena Gomez is facing numerous questions about Justin Bieber’s recent arrest in Miami, Florida last week. Demi Lovato explained that fans shouldn’t spend too much time worrying about the singer.

“We’re really, really close. Any advice I had for her, we talked last night and—you know — it’s between us. But I love her so much. We have an incredible friendship. [Selena] is strong! She’s doing really well right now!” the former X Factor judge said.

It’s currently unknown if the man who was recently caught outside Selena Gomez’s house will face any charges for trespassing on the property.
