Trendnet Reveals 450Mbps dual-band Wireless “N” Media Bridge

Trendnet on Thursday took some time to announce their newest media bridge, a 450Mbps dual-band Wireless N unit they have named “TEW-680MB.”

The media bridge offers four Gigabit Ethernet ports with one-button security configuration and a connection setup for Trendnet routers.

The company has also announced that the device features “Quality of Service” technology which prioritizes bandwidth use for gaming, internet calls and video streaming.

The dual-band which features 2.4GHz and 5GHz connection capabilities is important since it means older media center devices can still connect to the router as needed.

The router can also be configured to work with other routers, network storage devices, TV’s, Computers and gaming consoles among other devices, allowing for super fast speeds when supported by those devices connections. Trendnet is even throwing in a three-year warranty.

The $170 price tag is decent and you can spend that cash when the unit releases sometime this “fall.”
