Katy Perry Responds To Recent Shootings: ‘I Pray For Change’
Katy Perry is completely devastated by the recent string of shootings in the US.
No less than five separate gun-related incidents took place across the country last week, including a shooting spree at a mall in Maryland that left three people dead. Perry, who seemed shaken and disturbed by the news, took her fears to Twitter.
The “Roar” singer said she was extremely disgusted and deeply embarrassed by the sudden explosion of violence that took place last week. Since the incidents have terrified her to the bone, Katy Perry is ready for “actual change” to take place.
Check out the Grammy-nominated performer’s tweets below.
Is anyone else really sad about the constant stream of shootings and how normal it’s becoming to see these headlines on a weekly basis?

Scared to go to school? Scared to go to the mall? Scared to go to the movies? Me too. When will there be ACTUAL change? How many more?!

It didn’t take very long for Katy Perry’s thoughts on the subject to catch the attention of Piers Morgan. After responding to Perry’s tweets, he invited the singer to appear on his show.

No word yet if Katy Perry intends to take Morgan up on his offer. Judging from the singer’s recent comments on Twitter, it would appear that she has plenty to say on the subject of gun control. While we’re waiting to see what happens with Katy Perry and Piers Morgan, fans of the singer can watch her perform at the 2014 Grammy Awards tonight (January 26). The event is presently scheduled to kick off at 8 pm ET on CBS.
