Deport Justin Bieber: Petition Has Thousands Of Supporters In 48 Hours

A new online petition on the White House’s ‘We The People’ page is demanding that Justin Bieber be deported and his green card be revoked. The Deport Justin Bieber petition has already gained nearly 22,000 signatures in 48 hours. The online petition reads as follows:

“We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nation’s youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society.”

Justin Bieber has been in the news non-stop. Some have even taking to calling 2014 the year of Bieber in reference to all the negative media that he has received. Of course this is a play off of 2013’s year of Miley, which referred greatly to all the negative media she received for her rather… bold choices in her music career.

According to an earlier report by The Inquisitr, Bieber had been arrested in Miami, Florida, for drag racing, “and was also reportedly booked by traffic police for driving under the influence and failing a sobriety test.” Of course there was the report that alleged Bieber of throwing eggs at a neighbor’s home in his Calabasas, California neighborhood.

So how serious is this “Deport Justin Bieber” movement? News agencies such as USA Today are saying not to get your hopes up. “IF Bieber were charged with a felony and IF he were to be convicted, then his residency status in the USA could be affected.” Metro News went on to say:

“According to US immigration law, authorities generally do not revoke an individual’s visa unless the person has been convicted of a violent crime or has been sentenced to more than one year imprisonment.”

Twitter has exploded with reactions to the “deport Justin Bieber” movement. Some people are quite literally begging others to sign the petition to get Bieber deported. On the other hand, some can’t take the movement that seriously. Just check out the tweet battle for yourself:

While there are many out there that do believe Bieber has made some rather… wrong decisions of a late, some have said that he is, after all, just a young kid. So does the saying, “kids make mistakes” apply to those who are in the limelight 24/7? Some say yes, and others say no. What are your thoughts on the matter? Do you honestly think Justin Bieber should be deported for his recent actions?
