Katy Perry Insists She Isn’t Friends With ‘The Weed’
Katy Perry enjoys a lot of things in life, but weed isn’t one of them.
While other pop stars don’t have a problem sparking up a joint — Miley Cyrus and Rihanna are known potheads — Perry insists that she doesn’t want anything to do with the stuff. The singer believes the paranoia generally associated with the drug would do her in.
“The weed — I’m not friends with it. I can’t do that stuff. I’d be like in the corner: ‘Are you trying to kill me?!'” Katy Perry recently told GQ magazine.
Although the “Roar” singer is good friends with Rihanna, Perry can’t understand how she manages to function properly with all of that weed in her system.
“I think that Rihanna always looks so fresh and I’m like, ‘How do you do that? We all know how much pot you smoke! And you don’t sleep because you’re on Instagram at four o’clock in the morning,'” Katy explained to Elle Canada last year.
Not only is Katy Perry avoiding marijuana these days, she also doesn’t spend a lot of time under the knife. The singer told GQ that she hasn’t had a stitch of plastic surgery. Perry admitted to the magazine that she spent a lot of time as a kid praying for very big boobs.
“I’ve never had any plastic surgery. Not a nose, not a chin, not a cheek, not a t*t. So my messages of self-empowerment are truly coming from an au naturel product,” she explained.
Perry added, “I lay on my back one night and looked down at my feet, and I prayed to God. I said, ‘God, will you please let me have boobs so big that I can’t see my feet when I’m lying down?’ I had no clue they would fall into my armpits eventually.”
