NYC Triple Homicide: Miguel Mejia-Ramos Arrested For Murder Of His Wife And Daughters

In a tragic NYC triple homicide, a young mother and her two daughters were stabbed to death in Jamaica, Queens. The victims were found by police in an apartment on Sutphin Blvd. near 90th Ave; they had been stabbed multiple times. The children were just one and two years old.

After a number of blood-stained knives were found at the scene of the triple homicide, police began a manhunt to find the suspect.

Mario Sanchez, a member of the nearby Iglesia Naciones Unidas en Cristo church said about one of the victims, 21-year-old mother Deisy Garcia: “She was a quiet but happy person. She always had a smile on her face. She was a good mom.”

Unfortunately, Deisy Garcia wasn’t the only person to be stabbed in Jamaica this week. In South Jamaica, a woman was stabbed while waiting at a bus stop. A little earlier in the evening of the same day, a young man was stabbed in the back while standing on a subway platform in Woodhaven Queens.

Police reported today that they arrested the husband of Deisy Garcia, 28-year-old Miguel Mejia-Ramos, on suspicion of committing the NYC triple homicide. He was caught in the morning at a roadblock in Schulenburg, Texas.

Soon after he was arrested by US Marshals on a New York warrant, he was transferred to their jurisdiction. The suspect, who apparently goes by more than one name, was caught after he turned on his cellphone.

It remains to be seen what the charges will be brought against Garcia after police investigate the circumstances which led to the NYC triple homicide.
