Kate Gosselin’s Kids Scared Of Her? Jon Gosselin Feels ‘Horrible’ For Twins
Are Kate Gosselin’s kids “scared” of her? That’s the accusation some have made after an awkward interview saw the 13-year-old twins Cary and Mady Gosselin go silent. Jon Gosselin is already saying he feels “horrible” for how they were put in that predicament.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Jon says Kate Gosselin’s kids are being raised poorly, although she’s suing him for allegedly hacking her phone and computer.
Although there’s plenty of drama between the formerly married couple, Kate Gosselin’s kids claim they weren’t messed up by the experience. The twins went along with their mother onto the Today Show to discuss “growing up Gosselin,” but unfortunately things didn’t go well as reported by Kate herself:
“Thanks to @TODAYshow for having Cara, Mady and me on the show today! 1st live interview can render even the gabbiest girls speechless. I’m proud of them, taking this opp! They were so excited but caught off guard by live tv!”
When Savannah Guthrie tried to talk to the twins they clammed up and Kate began scolding them, ordering them to “spit it out.” Mady did manage to answer some questions but Cara stayed silent most of the time. Despite the kids saying they would love to be on another reality TV show, comments on Twitter indicated people thought Kate was just implementing “damage control” and one went so far as to say, “You could tell they were scared of saying the wrong thing, that’s why they kept looking at you!”
Jon Gosselin was watching the whole thing on TV and he decided to tell the world what he thought:
“I felt upset. I was laying there with [my girlfriend] Liz [Jannetta] and we were like, ‘Say something girls. Come on! Just say something. Anything.’ And they didn’t say anything and we were like, ‘Ugh, this is horrible. Then I felt really bad. I mean, I didn’t care too much for Kate or whatever, but I felt really bad for Mady and Cara because I love them and they’re just put in this situation. It was like deer in the headlights.”
Jon insists the twins weren’t ready to deal with the public and based upon their body language he believes they “shut down” because they were “torn” over pleasing Kate Gosselin or answering as they really wanted to about the situation and their parents. While Jon can’t prove it, he believes Kate “manipulated” the kids although when he talked to them directly he just congratulated them. What do you think?
