Under The Dome Season 2 Premiere Set For June, Written By Stephen King

The Under the Dome Season 2 première date is set for June 30th, and will be written by Stephen King.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, the Season 1 finale built a lot of anticipation for this season, and left some questions unanswered.

At the end of Season 1, the show did provide answers to some of the biggest questions. For those of you who missed the show last season, it’s about a small Maine town trapped, you guessed it, under a dome. One of the main questions answered at the end of Season 1 was, “who built this force field around us anyways, and why?” At the end of Season 1, one of the (presumed) aliens possessed the body of one of the townsfolk and revealed they are not trapping the town, but protecting it. Which of course begs what is likely to be the big question for Season 2, from what?

Some fans haven’t been too pleased about the way the transition from book to TV has gone so far. But writer of the original book and the show’s executive producer, Stephen King has said he is perfectly happy with the adaptations and is writing the Season 2 première himself to prove it to fans and skeptics alike.

The show appeared to be the summer hit for CBS, last year ranking high and even receiving Variety’s Breakthrough of the Year Award for television. Under the Dome also boasts Steven Spielberg as an executive producer.

So what do you think of Under the Dome for Season 2, will you be tuning in?
