Shervin Pishevar: Tyra Banks Reportedly Dating Iranian Billionaire
Shervin Pishevar is an Iranian billionaire and heavy hitter in Silicon Valley, but rumors say he has become America’s Next Top Suitor.
The mogul is reportedly dating model and television star Tyra Banks, though neither of them has confirmed the relationship.
Shervin Pishevar is a tech guru and early investor in Uber, a taxi hail app for smartphones that is now valued at $3.5 billion. It’s not entirely clear how he and Tyra Banks met, but it could be related to a photo app that Tyra launched.
The model said she spent a lot of time in Silicon Valley, and has already backed a number of start-up apps with her own investment firm, Fierce Capital.
Tyra Banks and Shervin Pishevar were seen in December in San Francisco, and since then they have reportedly become an official couple. They also vacationed together near St. Barts over the holidays, reports said.
Normally followers of Shervin Pishevar would know a lot about his budding relationship with Tyra Banks, as the entrepreneur is quite active on social media, but he recently made a New Year’s resolution to back off the social sharing.
“So on December 31st, 2013 I sent my last tweet before midnight,” Pishevar wrote in a post on Medium. “I haven’t tweeted or posted on Facebook or Instagram since. And do you know what? It’s marvelous. I had forgotten what it felt to be disconnected from constant notifications. And in the place of the cacaphony was a quietness. What it has resulted in was a quieting of the mind. Immediately, I returned to my love of longer form writing.”
Before starting his relationship with Tyra Banks, Shervin Pishevar had divorced his wife Anahita “Ana” Pishevar. Together the couple were strong backers for Barack Obama’s re-election, and Ana is the co-founder and CMO of StyleBee, an “Uber for Beauty” app launched this week.
