Lauren Tannehill, Wife Of Dolphins Quarterback, Leaves Rifle In Her Rental Car

Lauren Tannehill, the wife of Miami Dolphins’ quarterback, Ryan Tannehill, left behind a huge rifle in her rental car.

Judith Flessig, a mother from New York who was vacationing down in Florida with her daughter, made the startling discovery after she opened up a rogue bag she had found in the back of the Nissan Rogue that she was renting from E-Z Rent-A-Car.

After unzipping the rucksack she instantly spotted a huge assault rifle inside. It was apparently left behind by Tannehill, who works as a model. The AR-15 rifle is believed to be worth nearly $2,000.

Fleissig recalled the incident, which took place on January 6, noting “We got out of the car, we were kind of freaked out. I didn’t want to touch it.” The Fleissig’s then immediately called up the rental company, who suggested that they should turn over the gun to the nearest police station.

The police station then conducted a brief investigation, and discovered that the gun was actually registered to Ryan Tannehill. The NFL star had previously phoned up the rental company to report that he had mislaid an item immediately after he had realised that it was missing. However he didn’t identify what the item actually was.

Keyla Concepcion, Broward sheriff’s spokeswoman, stated, “Though dangerous if it would have landed in the wrong hands, it’s not criminal. They simply forgot it.”

It’s believed that Lauren Tannehill rented the vehicle from E-Z Rent-A-Car’s Fort Laurderdale-Hollywood International Airport branch on January 4, and then returned it just two hours later. She decided to swap it for another car.

58-year-old Fleissig, who hails from Rochester, New York, then rented the same car that Tannehill had deemed inferior just a few hours later.

After originally visiting the state because her daughter was being interviewed for a place at the University of Miami, the pair decided to turn their trip into a holiday. They visited a friend at Hillsboro Beach and they only made the discovery a few days later when they tried to make room for her friends in the back seat.

There’s no denying the fact that the Tannehill’s have a slight obsession with guns. In 2012, Lauren tweeted two pictures of her with Ryan at a gun range. Both were captioned with, “Shooting together,” and “Don’t mess with me.”
