Ashley Benson: Nude Scenes In 'Spring Breakers' Started With A Nervous Audition Photo

For Ashley Benson, nude scenes were a thing to be feared when filming Spring Breakers. She even felt self-conscious, thinking she might not meet the director's standards.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Ashley Benson allegedly used Selena Gomez to get the role in Spring Breakers, which put some stress on their relationship.

Spring Breakers was fairly infamous for how it took some former Disney girls and turned them into bad girls. To give you an idea how raunchy the "set" could be, they shot the film with real spring breakers in the background. In one case, there were two party girls making out topless on the ground, and then they went completely naked:

"Everything that we saw that was crazy, you see in the movie. The party scenes were pretty insane; girls were getting completely naked like about to have sex or something and we were just witnessing it."
Benson had to get used to running around in practically nothing. Even in the audition, she stripped down to a black bikini top and mimed pointing a gun at the camera. She apparently just dug up the photo recently and posted it to her Instagram, saying, "Found this..... From my spring breakers audition."

Despite the initial experience setting the mood, Benson reveals she was still nervous about getting naked in front of the camera:

"I was super-nervous before I got the movie and I was worried about it. I talked to [director] Harmony Korine about it and he was like, 'There's no need to stress out. You guys are college students in the film and nobody has the perfect body! Harmony really wanted us to look like we drank all the time and we partied, because that's what they did, and he didn't want us to have perfect bodies."
Although Spring Breakers doesn't actually feature Ashley Benson naked in any explicit fashion, there is the infamous threesome scene involving James Franco and Vanessa Hudgens. While the scene is plenty graphic, it's shot in a pool so the water obscures any explicit nudity. Surprisingly, despite being worried about such scenes, Benson found herself comfortable:
"I'm really happy I had Vanessa to be there with me and James he's done this a million times, he didn't make it awkward at all. We were very comfortable. [Director Harmony Korine] wanted us to be comfortable, or else it would have looked weird. Vanessa and I were so thankful that we were so close and had each other because any intimate scene is very awkward, even kissing a guy on screen is awkward because you have people all around you filming as well as an audience so I don't know, it turned out amazing."
Despite her level of comfort, some people felt that Hollywood exploited the young stars by having making a film focused on having Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ashley Benson nude for the titillation of audiences. What do you think?
