Grey’s Anatomy’s Jesse Williams Welcomes Daughter

Grey’s Anatomy hunk Jesse Williams has welcomed daughter Sadie with wife Aryn Drake-Lee.

Williams revealed the news back in October that he and his wife were expecting a baby, but never detailed when their bundle of joy was arriving. Apparently their newborn arrived early in December.

Williams, 32, and wife Drake-Lee, 33, have been together for a long time. Williams met his wife, a real estate broker when the actor was a professor in New York. The two got hitched in Los Angeles in September of 2012 after a five year courtship.

When the two were hitched, a guest who attended the wedding had told People of the ceremony:

“It was the perfect night with lots of smiling, laughing and emotion. You could feel the love they have for each other. They’re madly in love!”

According to US Weekly, the couple celebrated the impending arrival of their little daughter Sadie, with a baby shower in September in Brooklyn.

Jesse Williams has been on the hit ABC series Grey’s Anatomy since 2009, playing Dr. Jackson Avery. Although he’s been private about his personal life, he did open up to USA Today in 2010 when he spoke about this wife, “She’s been with me through all different facets of my career. She’s stuck with me through thick and thick and thick and thin.”

The happy news is pretty much opposite of what his character is experiencing on Grey’s Anatomy. When we last saw Jackson, he interrupted the wedding of his ex-girlfriend April and her fiance Matthew. Instead of professing his love for his girlfriend, who is a resident at the hospital, he let a year’s worth of feelings out in the middle of the intimate ceremony, to the shock and dismay of his fellow colleagues.

Although the wedding was interrupted, there was no reconciliation to the situation, so we should know what April’s answer is when the show returns after the winter Olympics ends on February 27, 2014.
