Lady Gaga Discusses The Story Behind ‘Poker Face’

Lady Gaga revealed that the hit single “Poker Face” isn’t about her skill at cards.

The “Applause” singer decided to drop some details about her popular tune during Belvedere Vodka-sponsored event at Annabel’s in London towards the beginning of December. Before diving into a performance of “Poker Face” — which the first clip uploaded to her Vevo account in 2014 — she decided to share some personal information.

If the idea of learning perhaps too much information about what Lady Gaga does between the sheets makes your skin crawl, then you should probably turn back now. Consider this your final warning.

“You know his song is actually about when I was making love to this guy that I was dating a long time ago. I was thinking about chicks every time we had sex,” the singer unexpectedly told everyone at the club.

Lady Gaga added, “And I just didn’t want him to figure it out because I felt so bad. But I don’t anymore because I wrote a song about it.”

If singer still thinks about women while having sex, then she might want to discuss that issue with current boyfriend Taylor Kinney. Of course, the actor probably doesn’t have a problem with his girlfriend’s kinky ways. After all, she reportedly purchased one of those real-life Japanese Gagadolls to keep him busy while she’s away.

Lady Gaga also told Ellen DeGeneres last year that Kinney is a “hidden weirdo.” This is essentially the glue that holds their very peculiar relationship together.

“He is extremely strange, actually. We complement each other’s weirdness. That’s actually one of the first things he ever said to me. It’s a Dr. Seuss quote. You find in someone else a compatible weirdness,” the singer said.

Mother Monster said of their first meeting on the “You and I” music video: “We were in the middle of this scene and I remember that he kissed me and it wasn’t scripted for him to kiss me. I was sort of like, ‘Uh, you know, was that real or was that fake?’ And he just didn’t really say anything, and that was fine by me and we just kept filming.”
