Watch 2014 Discover Orange Bowl Live Online: Ohio State Vs. Clemson

Fans can watch the 2014 Discover Orange Bowl live online and see if Ohio State can take out the frustration of not reaching the BCS national championship game on the Clemson Tigers.

Ohio State went into the Big 10 Championship game with a 12-0 record, a No. 2 ranking, and a clear path to the national championship game, with only Michigan State standing in the way. But the No. 10 ranked Spartans shocked the Buckeyes, winning 34-24.

So instead of facing No. 1 Florida State, the Buckeyes instead ended up in what could be one of the most exciting BCS bowl matchups of the year. With both teams bringing in high-octane offenses and suspect defenses, it will likely come down to whether Tajh Boyd and Clemson can outscore Braxton Miller and the Buckeyes.

Luckily, fans who aren’t able to tune in to ESPN will have a chance to watch the 2014 Discover Orange Bowl live online. The game, which is set to kick off at 8:30 pm on Friday, is being broadcast live on WatchESPN.

Ohio State isn’t looking at the game as a disappointment, but rather a chance to finish out the season properly.

“Obviously, we’re not going to where we thought we were going or where we wanted to be going, but we’re playing in the Orange Bowl and that’s a big-time bowl game,” Ohio State offensive lineman Jack Mewhort said. “When you start going back to the coulda, woulda, shouldas, that’s poisonous for a team. It’s our job as leaders to look ahead and make sure everybody is doing their business.”

Clemson also comes to the 2014 Discover Orange Bowl with some unrealized expectations of their own. The Tigers opened the season 6-0 and peaked at No. 3 in the polls, but fell after a 51-14 loss to Florida State, and dipped again after a 31-17 defeat at the hands of South Carolina.

But the Tigers are not to be overlooked. Fans who watch the 2014 Discover Orange Bowl live online will see an offense that averaged 45.1 points and 534.6 yards in their wins.

Boyd led the way, passing for 3,473 yards and 29 touchdowns, with another nine rushing touchdowns.

“I’ve been watching Tajh Boyd play for many years now and I think he’s transitioned from a good player to a great player,” Ohio State coach Urban Meyer said. “He’s a dynamic thrower. And as with most excellent quarterbacks, his surrounding cast might be the best in America.”
