Bride Killed In Car Crash On Wedding Day

Bride Kali Dobson was killed in a horrible wedding day car accident after her husband apparently lost control of their Pontiac Firebird, and it rolled down an embankment. The new bride reportedly was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.

Dobson, 25, and husband Ryan Quinton, 27, had just left their wedding reception in Georgia when the tragic accident occurred. Quinton told police that he swerved to avoid hitting a dog in the road. Dobson was pronounced dead at the scene, while her husband received treatment at a local hospital

According to a witness who saw the groom stumbling along the side of the road and called 911, “There was nothing that could be done. The car was on top of her. You couldn’t even see her.” The witness, Chris Smith, added, “His shirt was all torn up and he was bleeding. He had blood all over his face and blood coming out of his hands and stuff and just looked bad. And it scared me to death.”

Police may or may not bring charges in the Sunday night accident, depending upon the results of the groom’s blood test. An official with the Georgia Department of Public Safety commented, “Blood was drawn to determine if alcohol was a contributing factor. The crash is still under investigation. Charges are pending.”

On its Facebook page, the Wheeler House — the wedding reception venue — posted that “Our thoughts and prayers are with the Dobson and Quinton families. May Kali and the love this beautiful couple shared never be forgotten.”

Last month, in another wedding day automotive tragedy, a just-married Iraq War veteran was run over and killed in Indiana while trying to help a stranded motorist. He and his bride were also returning from their wedding reception.
