‘Millionaire Matchmaker’ Tackles Homosexuality, But Is Patti Stanger Homophobic?

As Millionaire Matchmaker tackles homosexuality once again, some wonder if Patti Stanger is secretly homophobic or ant-Semitic.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, a Millionaire Matchmaker scam artist pleaded guilty in court to conspiracy to commit mail, wire, and bank fraud, as well as making a false statement to a financial institution. Michael Prozer was then sentenced to eight years in prison.

In the latest episode of Millionaire Matchmaker, Patti Stanger tries to make a pair of same-sex matches, including one for Rosie Pierri, a 46-year-old sister of a Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member. But some people still remember the comment Stanger made about homosexuals in the past:

“In the gay world, (a relationship) will always be open. There is no curbing the gay. Have you seen the Madison episode? I tried to curb you people, and you just don’t…”

Some may argue Patti was simply describing what she sees herself on a regular basis. After all, that’s what was argued over Phil Robertson’s comments where he personally recalls black people being happier during the timeframe of the Jim Crow laws.

But Patti wasn’t finished yet. When a gay man asked her about relationships, she said: “You’re very handsome. I thought you were straight.” When asked why “being straight is a compliment” she responded, “Because he’s not queen-y.”

Even heterosexual men and women probably felt insulted by the next comment:

“[Men] like [smart women] after marriage. They don’t like them before they are married. You got to dumb it down a little because men are not that bright.”

She even took the time to throw in this line: “Jewish men lie.”

Well, the network thought Patti Stanger was quite done insulting various demographics and released a statement:

“[Patti’s] comments are not representative of the network’s beliefs and opinions. We apologize for the offense it caused.”

But, unlike the Duck Dynasty star, she wasn’t fired from the show. Do you think the Millionaire Matchmaker producers showed a double standard?
