‘Fast & Furious 7’ Release Date Moved, Production To Continue After Paul Walker’s Brother’s Decision

The Fast & Furious 7 release date has been moved to April 10, 2015, according to a Facebook update from Vin Diesel. Production will continue as soon as Universal gets a decision from Paul Walker’s brother on replacing the fallen star.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, it was said that Ludacris had offered Paul Walker’s part to his friend Justin Bieber, but that turned out to be all there was to it. Justin Bieber is not going to play the role of Brian O’Conner, and it’s probably a good end to the rumor. “The Biebs” is said to be retiring for a year, considering that this year has been a hard one on the singer.

Fast & Furious 7‘s release date is now set as Universal waits for Cody Walker to confirm that he will replace his brother; even for just the one film. Despite the age difference, there is a remarkable resemblance between the brothers and CG could easily make Cody look like Paul. The plan for now is to film the rest of the scenes for Brian O’Conner using Paul Walker’s brother, and most likely kill off the character.

The death of Brian O’Conner seems the most likely option for the moment as it would mirror the actor who brought him to life. Paul Walker and his friend Roger Rodas were both killed in a car accident that experts are claiming to be simply the fault of excessive speed.

Brian O’Conner’s death means that Universal could be attempting to rewrite the film to reflect the death of Paul Walker as the studio uses the footage it has to put a logical end to the character. This is still a rumor, but the ultimate decision lies in Cody Walker’s hands. The fans are hoping that Paul Walker’s finished scenes will be used, even if the rest are done using his brother.

Universal will respect Paul Walker in every way, meaning that Brian O’Conner will most likely die as a hero if the studio decides to take that route. Writers are working “fast and furious” to come up with a way to deal with the loss of the film’s star.

The Fast & Furious 7 release date of April 2015 was already roughly predicted when Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was moved up replace James Wan‘s film in the release date rotation.

Paul Walker’s coworkers and family are all grieving his untimely death, with Vin Diesel even reportedly breaking down in front of his late friend’s mother, something you wouldn’t expect from the man behind Riddick. If Cody Walker agrees to fill in for his brother, it will be considered the best way to honor the actor’s death.

Fast & Furious 7‘s release date is officially April 10, 2014, with the eighth film still being planned, even if its future looks doubtful now.
