The cast of Glee will be arriving in theaters on August 12 and they’ll be appearing in 3D.
The cast is touring over the summer and the songs they sing will be captured for the event, much like we’ve seen with Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus…but good!
The Glee Live! In Concert! summer tour will begin May 12 and their action will be captured by Fame director Kevin Tancharoen who will prepare their performances for the big screen.
On Friday Glee creator Ryan Murphy revealed:
“We knew that not every fan who wanted to attend a concert would get that opportunity,” while adding, “Now, thanks to our friends at Twentieth Century Fox Film, we’ll be able to bring the concert experience to movie theaters across the country in full three dimensional glory. We promise every passionate ‘Gleek’ a cinematic experience that will have them singing and dancing in the aisles.”
The movie, which will also include behind the scenes footage will spend two weeks in theaters.
